Last December 5th, 34 INTERREG SUDOE projects were approved, of which only two were approved without restrictions. One of them (ULTREIA_SUDOE) has the participation of FCT NOVA (coordinated by Professors Pedro Pereira and João Martins), reinforcing FCT NOVA's participation in European projects related to the monitoring and maintenance of historical heritage. The objective of the project is to monitor historical routes such as the Camino de Santiago (covering a geographical area comprising 155 municipalities) digitally transforming their management and, at the same time, promoting the conscious experience of pilgrims and tourists. This is a two-year project with the participation of several Portuguese, Spanish and French partners.
