We are living in a new era of aerospace engineering, driven by breakthroughs in space exploration, sustainable aviation, and disruptive technologies — from satellites and drones to more efficient aircraft and intelligent navigation systems. The Master’s in Aerospace Engineering at NOVA FCT prepares you to lead this exciting future.
With two specialized scientific areas — Avionics Systems and Aerospace Mechanics — this program combines strong scientific and technological foundations with hands-on training and excellence in applied learning.
Students in this program have access to cutting-edge laboratories and teaching equipment, including:
A flight arena and multiple UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) with different configurations
Fixed and mobile robots
Experimental microwave and antenna systems
A 9-meter wind tunnel
Mechanical testing machines
High-efficiency solar lasers
A cryogenic vacuum chamber (77 K–300 K) with 159-liter capacity
Throughout the program, you will:
Build advanced skills in aerospace structures, propulsion, flight dynamics, control, and navigation
Work on hands-on projects and computational simulations
Explore technologies used in the aerospace industry
Benefit from strong ties to research and industry, experienced faculty, and partnerships with national and international institutions
This is an innovative and interdisciplinary program with a global perspective. It prepares you for a career in aerospace companies, research and development centers, or even future space missions.
If the sky is no longer the limit… why not start here?
